Haha, yes I know. I was just poking fun at the Isles plight, considering that fifth Cup seems a bit far off.

Karma's gonna get me and you'll get one before the Flyers now, of course.

LoL, It isn't a golf reference my friend. The year after the Islanders dynasty was often referred to as "The Drive for Five." Five consecutive Stanley cup championship, that is.

Thank you!

And yeah, I mean that's exactly the problem. If the team can't prove to us and themselves that they can win these games their supposed to (I mean, it seems like they do a lot of playing down to their opponent, doesn't it?) then we really can't be branding them as true contenders.

On the other hand though, say they lose to Tampa and St. Louis and sweep Boston... what do we do then?

I love your banner!

Anyway,
We say things like "They need a win against Tampa Bay",
and "they need to prove to themselves that they can beat the teams they are supposed to beat",
but do you think they know that?

I mean whenever they "need" a win it seems like they almost never get one.

it wasn't a dirty play by chara. actually, after the replay, i didn't even think it was a penalty. oveckin's lost his edge(s) when he tried to go around chara, and i thought chara did a good job stick-checking him.

congrats to giroux on his first goal!

I feel your pain. I personally would rather have him playing than Randy Jones, and I'm kinda wishfully thinking that Holmgren is looking for a trade to get rid of Jones, and that's why he's keeping Sbisa around.

That would shed salary for when Briere finally comes back and it would get rid of that ridiculous contract Jones has (and doesn't deserve).

But yeah, I love Luca.

Love the blog, (:
& I really, really don't want
to see Sbisa to go back to Juniors.
Yes, he should be playing everyday but,
I'll miss him! :p
