Alex is a broadcast journalism major at Quinnipiac University and grew up in Manhattan. His first bout with broadcasting came the summer of 2007 when working for Playbill.com as a reporter for the video segments of the web site. The following seummer, he was brought back to Playbill to do weekly video updates of the Broadway Show League, a softball league in Central Park that has many famous participants from Broadway shows.

Along with co-hosting The Field of Play, he participates in two television shows that are shown on Quinnipiac’s student-run station, Q30. He is a sports anchor for Q30 News and is a frequent member of the competitive sports panel on Bobcat Blitz. He also commentates Quinnipiac Bobcat games for WQAQ.

He is a major fan of the New York Mets, Jets, and Rangers, but is a bigger overall sports fan than anything else. He loves to listen to jazz and old music, play sports, and hang out with friends. Also, he quotes movies, TV shows, and stand-up comedy way too much.

Travis is a sophomore broadcast journalism major at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. Born in Philadelphia, he is a fan of all Philadelphia sports, from the Flyers to the World Champion Phillies to the Kixx to Big Five Basketball. He has lived in Southern New Jersey his entire life, and   he can guarantee you that, no matter how badly they try to force it upon people, the Devils are not “Jersey’s Team”.

Travis is a 2007 graduate of Absegami High School, the place where his love for journalism and sports first collided. He began his broadcasting career with GAMI-TV, calling play-by-play action for Absegami’s state champion girls’ basketball team. In 2007, he was named Best Sports Broadcaster by the AHS media department. He has also been honored for his behind the scenes skills, earning the award for Best Technician on G-TV’s live, daily morning news show.

At Quinnipiac, Travis’ horizons have grown even further. He co-hosts a weekly sports talk show titled The Field of Play on 98.1 FM WQAQ. His favorite sport is tennis, and has no qualms with staying up all night to watch the men’s final of the Australian Open. Joe can be found in The Quinnipiac Chronicle office most of the weekend, or with roommate Alex in the distinguished Larson 100 suite.

Robin is a sophomore broadcast journalism major at Quinnipiac University and grew up in Germany. Now a day, when he’s not at school, he lives in a sunny place called southern California. He first began to broadcast at a summer camp in 2005, where he covered live Angels baseball games, NBA summer league games, and did some studio anchoring. After that he began to do the PA announcing for his high school’s men’s and women’s basketball teams.

Along with co-hosting The Field of Play, Robin is also involved with the Quinnipiac University Pep Band. He’s also started to help broadcast live Quinnipiac Bobcat hockey games for WQAQ.

Robin is a big time fan of the Los Angeles Angels, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Anaheim Ducks, and the San Diego Chargers. He’s also very into the German soccer team Bayern Munich, but can only talk about that to his father, who still lives in Germany. Most of the time he is watching SportsCenter, and if not that, he’s watching Seinfeld, King of Queens, or Home Improvement. Overall, he just loves to have fun and be with friends.
